Perfecting Church Ain't Perfect....Pastor Marvin Winans Openly Rebukes Over A Woman Standing With Her Son For Coming Up Short On A Seed Receives Backlash....Teach These Men That Disrespect Won't Get You To Cashing Checks

Baby… let’s just get straight into it, because the saints have been cutting up again.

So, word on the pews is:

Pastor Marvin Winans openly rebuked a woman in front of the whole congregation — and she was standing right next to her son (or grandson!) — all because her seed came up short.

In fact in another video you can see her son handing him an envelop. How super exciting that must have been…

But instead things took a turn.

Not “pull her aside.”
Not “hey sis, let’s talk privately.”

No.
He went full loudspeaker, full spotlight, full public announcement like she had committed a felony on aisle 7.

Like she was a child who forgot her homework.

And the whole moment spiraled into a viral mess that needed him to involve the church's PR team

And baby… you know what I had thoughts.

The bigger issue here is customer service is on life support.

We Need to Talk… About Your Tone

The way you talk to people affects the way the world sees us.
Period.

You cannot preach love, grace, and compassion for the world on Sunday… and then embarrass someone over an offering on the same stage. That’s not ministry — that’s mess.

Some leaders need a refresher course in “Be Nice 101.”
Maybe a certificate program.
Maybe a summer leadership bootcamp.

Because treating grown people like toddlers? It’s giving “power trip,” not “pastoral care.”

Offering Should Be Partnership — Not Punishment

Here’s where I stand:

If you want a specific offering amount?
SAY. IT. AHEAD. OF. TIME.

Give people time to prepare to give.
Let them budget. Let them plan. Let them decide.

Surprise offerings don’t build faith — they build frustration.

And if the church wants to do big things financially, guess what?

And Then Sis Went On TV Trying to Save the Day… But Not Herself

Now this is the part that had me pacing the living room…

After being publicly embarrassed, pushed out, and made the villain of the clip — sis STILL went on the news to defend him and do damage control.

And baby… the second she served her purpose? He dropped her like a bad habit.

Sis was left out in the wilderness like an unpaid intern who came to work early and still got fired.

Sis, Stop Defending Men Who Would Never Defend You

Let me speak directly to the women for a second:

Stop jumping in front of bullets for men who wouldn’t block a raindrop for you.

Stop going on news stations to clean up messes that were NEVER yours.

Stop doing free PR work for pastors who won’t give you the courtesy of a private apology.

Stop letting these men treat you like you’re disposable while they expect you to treat them like royalty.

Want the Full Tea, The Sass, and The Receipts?

Ohhh, trust me — I have MORE to say.

A lot more.
And baby, I didn’t hold back.

Never let anyone disrespect. Especially don’t let anyone embarrass you in front of your children. Next time, pull your seed, pull yourself, and pull up somewhere that respects you.

Head over to my YouTube channel to hear my full commentary.
I break it all down — the tone, the disrespect, the church culture, the offering expectations, ALL OF IT.

If this blog post had you nodding your head or rolling your eyes… wait until you hear the full video.
