Everywhere Jesus Went, We Must Go. For we are called the do the greater works. The Prophet Has A Responsibility Before God Even In Media. We don’t want our living to be in vain.
This is why the Bible says, “In the multitude of counselors there is safety” (Proverbs 11:14), and “By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established” (2 Corinthians 13:1). To every prophetic alchemist: understand that the office of the Prophet is not private—it is a public mantle, a sacred responsibility before God and His people.
I have walked with Christ since I was 15, and it grieves my heart when I hear prophets admit they were given a word from the Lord for someone but chose not to release it. Beloved, when people come to the church, or seek out a prophet, it is because they are desperate for help and direction. It is in some ways professional malpractice. The Bible is full of examples: King Saul went to Samuel (1 Samuel 9:6–10), the Shunammite woman sought Elisha (2 Kings 4:22–25), and kings inquired of prophets before going to war (1 Kings 22:5–7).
If you withhold the word of the Lord, I must ask—what then are you giving people? Your own opinion? Empty encouragement? God is not playing with us in this hour. As men and women of God—including myself—we will be held accountable. As I lift up my one finger I am very conscious at the three that are pointing back at me. God will not allow us to bring shame to His holy name.
People of God, you also carry a responsibility to your families and your communities. Stop pouring your time, energy, and resources into things that are not led by God.
I believe there must always be a sense of purpose and integrity in the prophetic. God is calling for a multitude of counselors, because when people seek a prophet, it’s often because they know they need help. That’s why it’s dangerous for a prophet to receive a word from God and refuse to release it.
When I was trained as a prophet, I was taught that we are held accountable—that God Himself will judge us if we withhold what He has spoken. At the end of the day, we are simply mouthpieces; we are not God. Woe unto us if we see and hear yet choose to remain silent.
Sometimes the word is meant to be declared, and sometimes it is meant to be prayed over—but it must be stewarded. If we don’t cry out, even the rocks will cry out in our place. That’s why you’ll find prophets in the prayer closet, in the marketplace, in unexpected places—because the Spirit of God cannot be confined.
And let’s not forget: Jesus Christ Himself went everywhere. If we are to be true to scripture, then so must we. May our living not be in vain.
