Rapper Travis Porter Leads Praise & Worship at Zoe Ministries' Prophecology? Let’s Talk About It.

Now listen. I’m still wrapping my head around this one. Travis Porter—the same Travis Porter who had the clubs jumping in the early 2010s—was the praise and worship leader at Prophecology?

Now I have never heard of Travis Porter before this.

But as R. Kelly would say, “That was in my way way past”. But it’s not what I expected at a prophetic conference. Now before y’all get carried away, let me be clear: this is shade.

I don’t know Travis Porter’s relationship with the Lord. Maybe God is doing a new thing and Travis is walking in it. And if so, hallelujah and amen. Growth is real and we love to see redemption.

But I gotta ask… with all the gospel artists out here, why was Travis Porter the voice leading us into worship?

Maybe next year Bishop will surprise us and bring out Jeezy for altar call.

He invited Kim Burrell, but why didn't she perform. Where was Le’Andria Johnson? That woman will sing heaven open and have you snotting at the altar in 30 seconds flat.

Where was Fantasia? She might not be labeled a “gospel” artist but when she hits a note, you know God is near.

Ricky Dillard? Kirk Franklin? Even Tye Tribbett with his energy and wild pants would have taken the saints in.

Derrick Haddon and his wife are ordained ministers.

I’m just saying—when we talk about gospel music, there’s a long line of people who’ve labored in this field - new and old. So I’m wondering why the Bishop didn’t reach for them. Was it strategy? Was it prophetic? Was it just… different?

I get that the church is shifting. I understand we’re reaching new generations, and God can use anybody. But if we’re going to platform people in sacred spaces, especially during something as spiritually weighty as Prophecology, let’s make sure they’re not just familiar with the mic—but also familiar with the presence.

Again, no hate. No shade. Just... confusion. Because when I signed up for Prophecology, I didn’t expect the soundtrack to be “Make It Rain.” I was looking for “Break Every Chain.”

But hey, maybe the Bishop sees something we don’t. Maybe, just maybe, Travis is being called for such a time as this. I just hope we’re not confusing trend with anointing.

As Comedian Monique’s Husband Would Say We’re Calling Zoe Ministries Up to the Lord Not Out.

One moment during Prophecolgy that lives in my spirit is when Prophet Jordan prophesied to that 15-year-old and told him to prepare for military science by age 17 years old.

Whew. That moment wasn’t just powerful—it was prophetic legacy in real time. I could see it so clearly: years from now, that young man will look back and say, “A prophet pointed me to my destiny.” That’s the Zoe I remember. That’s why I sowed, why I stood, empty out, and why I believed so deeply in the vision of Zoe Ministries.

And I can’t forget the power that filled the room when the prophets began to declare the word of the Lord Jesus Christ. They spoke of a new sound—not just in music, but in the prophetic itself. As the Master Prophet always said, “Prophecy isn’t just told—it’s created.” It shapes the future. It calls things that are not as though they were. That’s the Zoe that birthed movement. That’s the Zoe that stirred nations.

I believe we’re all fighting to reclaim those moments—the moments that stirred our faith, anchored our purpose, and reminded us why we believed in the first place.

Let’s not lose that sound. Let’s not forget that fire. Let’s return.
