Meanwhile, while the church is trying to hold it together, Larry Reid is over in West Africa. Lord, help us.
Now listen—this isn’t shade, it’s real concern. We are watching in real time as voices that once thundered in the pulpit shift into unfamiliar territory.
Reid, who once claimed a prophetic mantle, is now knee-deep in spiritualism. Crystals, sage, ancestral veneration… and yes, while he still quotes scripture, we have to ask: what spirit is backing the message now?
This isn’t about policing someone’s spiritual journey—but the Bible is clear: “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God.” (1 John 4:1)
We’ve got people with platforms bigger than some churches who are no longer preaching Christ crucified. They’re mixing a little Jesus with a little chakra, throwing in African mysticism with a side of numerology—and calling it enlightenment. But what it really is, is confusion. Saints, this ain't revival, it’s regression.
Meanwhile, the body of Christ is sitting silently, not wanting to offend. Not wanting to “judge.” But if we don’t speak truth in love, we’re going to lose more than just members—we’re going to lose ministries.
This is bigger than Larry Reid. He’s just one example of a growing trend. Leaders, influencers, former prophets… walking away from foundational truth in the name of “elevation.” But what does it profit a man to gain a following and lose his soul?
We need to pray. Not throw stones—but pray. Pray for clarity. Pray for conviction. Pray that what’s been distorted will be made clear again. Because this generation doesn’t need another blend of beliefs. It needs the unapologetic gospel of Jesus Christ.
And Church, if we don’t cry loud and spare not, we’ll look up and won’t recognize the very faith we were entrusted to steward.
Let’s not be silent while truth is under attack. Let’s intercede—for Larry, and for every leader drifting. Because revival starts when the Church remembers who she is.
