With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of Judge Frank Caprio—a man whose gentle spirit and profound sense of justice touched millions across the globe.
Today here at my home in the prophetic residence we are mourning the loss of such a giant of juice. My husband the Archbishop wants everyone to please pray for him and the family.
Judge Frank Caprio, a man whose unorthodox approach to justice touched the lives of countless people around the world. His passing is not only sad news for the legal community, but also for every person who believes compassion and mercy have a place in the courtroom.
Judge Caprio was known for blending fairness with humanity. While he never compromised the importance of following the law, he also understood that life is complicated and that people make mistakes. Instead of crushing individuals under the weight of their errors, he often sought to uplift them, giving many a second chance. In doing so, he showed us all that true justice is not about punishment alone—it is about understanding, empathy, and restoring dignity.
Here at the Prophetic Residence, his death has deeply saddened us. Today, we collectively paused, reflecting in silence on the life of a man who showed that justice could be kind. Judge Caprio reminded the world that compassion is not weakness, but strength—that justice is at its best when tempered with mercy.
He will be missed, but his legacy will continue to live on in the countless lives he touched, the hope he restored, and the standard he set for what justice could be. May we all learn from his example and carry his spirit of fairness and compassion into the spaces we occupy.
Rest well, Judge Caprio. Your work here was not in vain.
Xoxo,
Dr. Jordan, CHWO
