I Love the Way My Husband Makes Me Laugh (Even at His Corny Jokes)

Marriage has this magical way of revealing the little things that become the big things. The sweet glances across the room. The way he always fills up my gas tank without asking. And for me? It’s the way my husband makes me laugh—especially at his corny jokes.

When I say corny, I mean bad. The kind of puns that make you groan out loud. The dad jokes that don’t even make sense. The random one-liners that have no business being that funny. And yet—there I am, cracking up. Every. Single. Time.

It’s not just what he says. It’s how he says it. The way his eyes light up like a kid, waiting to see if I’ll laugh, or pretend to be annoyed. Sometimes I roll my eyes so hard I can see into next week—but inside? I’m melting.

What makes it even sweeter is that my husband and I work together—so I get to experience his humor all day long. Whether we’re building our brand, brainstorming over coffee, or knocking out a late-night deadline, he finds a way to bring laughter into every space we share.

Working with your spouse isn’t always easy. You see each other at your best, your worst, and everything in between. But for us, it’s become this beautiful rhythm. He brings the jokes, I bring the side-eyes, and somehow, we meet in the middle—with love and laughter holding it all together.

There’s something so special about building a life and a business with someone who doesn’t take himself too seriously. Who knows how to find joy in the mundane. Who still flirts with you like you're the only girl in the room—even if the room is just your home office and the Wi-Fi is acting up.

Joy has become our secret weapon. When the pressure is high or the to-do list is long, his sense of humor reminds me to breathe, to soften, to smile. He keeps things light when life feels heavy—and honestly, what a gift that is.

So yes, I’ll keep pretending his jokes are ridiculous. I’ll keep groaning and giving him the side-eye. But deep down, I love every second of it.

Because when a man can make you laugh in business, in life, and in love—that’s not just cute. That’s kingdom.
