So I’m minding my business, scrolling like I do, cause y'all know I don't be on social media and boom — what do I see? An adult star by the name of Jerock Walker hopping online, giving us a tell-all about Bishop Fred Matthews.
Yes, you read that right — we’re talking confessions, accusations, Bible verses and bust-downs all in one messy live about consensual sex he was paid for. Whew.
Let’s start with the obvious: Mr. Walker proudly announces he’s a porn star who has sex with men for money. I get paid to bust on n****s face, he says. Okay, cool. Transparency is cute. But that’s probably why Bishop Fred rang your line in the first place — it wasn’t to join the intercessory prayer team. You knew what it was.
Then, sir has the nerve to say, “Your pastor has been slutted and busted.” Whew, lawd. First of all… TMI.
Second of all, that ain’t a ministry update we needed. But okay, thanks for your ministry of mess — I guess?
Now look, if the Bishop did what’s being alleged, and this relationship was real, yet consensual, but contradicts the standards of his pulpit, yes — accountability is necessary. He needs to sit down somewhere. And let’s be clear: he should be honest about who he is. He congregation deserves to know the truth, period.
But you were paid for a service so it's kind of difficult to say.
As for the wife, I think she would have appreciated a DM, email, or phone call. Rather than being embarrassed before the world on the internet.
But here's where I need to park this holy hoopty: Jerock, what exactly are you exposing? You admitted the relationship was consensual. You said you got paid. You even threw in a few scriptures while in your drawers. Sir, what are we doing?
Let’s be very for real — you weren’t manipulated, seduced, abused, or even spiritually deceived. You weren’t coerced, or cornered. You got booked like a gig, got what you wanted, and now… you mad because church folk from your daddy's church go to his?
Oh.
Listen — Bishop Fred Matthews you are facing a storm. But Jerock? Baby, you brought an umbrella to a fire you lit. Both of y’all need prayer. Maybe Bishop gave him a bad Yelp review on a paid situation.
Sounds like you need to go back to church.
Whew. Chile and goodnight.
Another issue we really need to address — and this might explain why so many men and women of God find themselves caught up in s*x scandals — is the relationship between power, purpose, and temptation.
When you're walking in spiritual or any type of authority, leading people, launching ministries or building businesses — your creativity is on ten. And believe it or not, that also means your sex drive is heightened. That’s not an excuse — it’s reality.
And this is for people in business as well.
But let me be clear: this doesn’t exempt you from the Word of God. The standard is still the standard. What it does mean is, if you can understand what’s happening spiritually, you might be better prepared to fight it. If you're single it might be time to consider marriage.
Because when you’re moving in high realms (spiritual and physically), the attacks hit differently. You're not just leading — you're drawing attention and sometimes from spirits that are on assignment to take you out.
Seduction won’t always show up in stilettos or gray gym pants. Sometimes it comes dressed like a business deal, a DM, a video that happens to pops up, or a moment of loneliness you thought no one saw.
That’s why prayer isn’t optional. Accountability isn’t optional. And having a partner who understands what you carry? That’s protection.
