Have you ever heard the phrase “the feeling gets the blessing”?
It’s more than just spiritual-sounding fluff—it’s a truth that can shift everything.
In this life, especially as a woman trying to keep the faith, build a legacy, and be everything for everyone (and yourself!), there are moments you don’t feel blessed. You might feel stressed, overlooked, anxious, or even flat-out tired of trying. But here’s where it gets deep: you don’t attract what you want—you attract what you feel.
Let’s unpack that.
Because when life doesn’t look like the blessing, how on earth are you supposed to feel like it is?
First, Let’s Talk Bible
Romans 4:17 says, “...God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.”
God operates in faith—not feelings. But here’s the kicker: when our faith leads, our feelings follow. That’s why the enemy loves when you stay in your funk. He knows that if he can trap your feelings, he can delay your blessing.
But if you can shift your emotions—your inner climate—you can shift your life.
So What Does "The Feeling Gets the Blessing" Mean?
It means that the emotional posture you’re in is often the key to unlocking what you're waiting on.
Not because you’re faking it. But because you’re aligning with it.
If you want joy, you’ve got to feel joyful now.
If you want love, you’ve got to radiate love now.
If you want peace, you’ve got to embody peace now.
We’re not waiting for the situation to change before we celebrate. We’re celebrating because we know it’s already written.
How Do You Feel Blessed When You Don’t?
Here’s a few heart-shifting steps that help me when I’m stuck in a dry season:
1. Go Get Grateful (Out Loud)
Start speaking what is going right. Even if it’s:
“I have breath in my body.”
“I got through yesterday.”
“I have another chance today.”
Write 10 things you’re grateful for. Say them out loud. Gratitude is the fastest frequency booster.
2. Put a Thanksgiving On It
Isaiah 61:3 talks about "the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.”
That’s not a suggestion—it’s a strategy.
Play your worship playlist. Dance in your room. Sing ugly. Praise Him not for the what, but the who. That feeling? It will rise like holy fire.
3. Visualize the Blessing
Close your eyes and see yourself walking in the blessing.
Touch it in your mind. Smile like it’s already happened.
Faith isn’t pretending—it’s pre-seeing what God already promised.
4. Speak the Blessing Over Yourself
Say this with me:
“I may not feel it right now, but I AM BLESSED. I’m chosen, equipped, and covered. God’s hand is on me, and I will walk in divine favor. Period.”
Even when your feelings don’t match—say it until your soul starts agreeing.
5. Shift the Atmosphere
Light a candle. Put on your favorite scent. Open the windows.
Sometimes you’ve got to shift your environment to remind your spirit that something good is coming.
The Truth Is...
You’re not crazy for feeling low. You’re not weak for needing a minute. But don’t let a temporary emotion block a permanent blessing.
The blessing is on the other side of your belief.
And the belief lives in your feeling.
So, next time you feel like giving up, like nothing is happening for you—get into the feeling of the woman who already has it.
Walk like her. Talk like her. Dress like her.
Because heaven responds to expectation, not desperation.
Sometimes, your breakthrough isn’t delayed—it’s just waiting on you to feel worthy enough to catch it.
So if today’s heavy, go light a candle, say a prayer, shake off the doubt, and whisper this to yourself:
“The blessing is mine, and I feel it already. Amen.”
